MELBOURNE CUP CLASSIC
We are excited to host our Inaugural Melbourne Cup Classic with multiple events at our Brunswick Indoor Beach Volleyball Centre from November 1st - November 5th
Please see our list below for each event and details how to get involved. Every event has been priced at $20 per player on the basis of the type of the event.
This is a 4-a-side tournament on Friday night, 7pm - 11pm. Teams will be placed in pools and play round-robin matches of three sets. At the end of the round robin matches, the top teams in each pool will progress to a knock-out finals series.
Cost: $80.00 per team

This is a 3-a-side tournament on Saturday night, 7pm - 11pm. This will be played with the same rules as Pairs, with back-net-dead. Teams will be placed in pools and play round-robin matches of three sets. At the end of the round robin matches, the top teams in each pool will progress to a knock-out finals series.
Cost: $60.00 per team

This is a Pairs event played over FOUR Qualifying Days (you enter one of the four that suits you), with the top teams qualifying for Tuesdays Finals. This will be played with the same rules as our night time comp Pairs, with back-net-dead. Teams will be placed in pools and play round-robin matches of three sets. At the end of the round robin matches, the top teams in each pool will progress to the Finals Day on Tuesday.
Cost: $40.00 per team

NOTE: Players can play in more than one qualifying event but can only qualify once per division for Finals Day. Any team that consists of the same players, will only qualify once for Finals and of the higher division.
Finals day will have A & B grades each seperated into Divisions (eg. A1, A2) dependant on how many qualifying teams enter the event.

Put on your party shoes (although take them off before you go on the sand!) and get ready to play some fun social volleyball.
Players rotate around each match playing with differnet players and against different players. Use our new Request System through the night to play with specific players or put out a challenge to someone you really want to try and beat; all in good fun, of course!
Bar will be open, food provided! Free drink on arrival for anyone who attends in Melb Cup themed outfit and a $50 vouch er for the best dressed!
